William Knibb Memorial High School became early Zone C DaCosta Cup leaders with an emphatic 4-1 victory against neighbours Holland High in the Carib Road Derby played at William Knibb.
Knibb were propelled by a hat-trick from captain and national under 17 representative, Christojaye Daley. He scored his first goal in the 25th minute and was complemented by a 39th minute strike from fellow striker, Deno Thomas.
Christojaye proved to be a handful for the Holland defenders, and added to his tally in the 48th minute, before scoring a cracking left footed free kick to make it 4-0 (see video below).
William Knibb were competing in the DaCosta Cup for the first time under new coach Dwight Jeremiah. Like previous coach Cassman Williams, Jeremiah is also a past student of the purple and green-clad institution.
