Now here is an opportunity for job seekers in Trelawny. There will be a career fair/job expo in Wakefield, Trelawny on February 7, 2018, from 10 am to 5 pm.
The Expo is being put on by the Wakefield Community Development Committee which is governed by the Social Development Commission (SDC).
The venue for the job fair will be the Hope Tabernacle Pentecostal Church on the Wakefield main road (on the left hand coming from Falmouth’s direction).
The aim of the fair is primarily to ensure that local community members benefit from various job opportunities.
However, because there are over 300 jobs available and because of the call centers and the new hotel, it is being open to the rest of the parish.

The Business Development Corporation of Jamaica will present on “How to write a business plan” and “How to start a business.”
HEART BPO Trainer Betty Ann Lawrence will be on hand promoting her free 3-week BPO Training course for those who don’t qualify for a job. After completion of the training, job aspirants will be able to re-apply for the same position.
Guest speaker will be Cassandra Shannon from St. Catherine. She is the CEO of Missing Link Development Services.
