A motor vehicle crash on the Salt Marsh main road in Trelawny last night left two persons dead.
The victims have been identified as Norman Scott a security guard attached to Guardsman Security Company and Devon Perrier.
The accident involved a collision between an oil tanker truck and a Toyota Axio motorcar in which both deceased were travelling.
The truck received minimal damages, but the car was a total wreck.
The accident caused a traffic pile-up on the highway long after the accident.
On January 31, 2017 (exactly one year before yesterday’s accident) 2 persons (man and a woman) were also killed on the Salt Marsh Main Road.

The Salt Marsh Road is one of the island’s accident hotspots and has claimed several lives over the years in oftentimes horrific accidents.
This latest crash brings the total persons killed on Jamaica’s roadways since the start of the year to 30, from 25 fatal accidents.
