The Trelawny police are now investigating the shooting death of 54-year old Alrick Kitchiner, also known as ‘Ricky,’ of a Lake Bottom address in Clark’s Town, Trelawny.
Reports are that Ricky was attacked by a group of men sometime after 11 am this morning. He stabbed one, but was shot dead.
When the police arrived, he was seen lying in a pool of blood suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
So far, no one has been taken into custody.
Kitchiner had a troubled life and a source in the Clark’s Town community told Falmouth News that he was currently out on bail on a gun possession charge. In addition, he had served time for smuggling marijuana. He was also deported from the USA, re-entered illegally, and did time for re-entry.
