The Falmouth Police are investigating the killing of a man said to be of unsound mind in Race Course, Falmouth.
About 2 weeks earlier, he was taken into custody after allegedly breaking in a house and attempting to sexually assault a female occupant.
He was released after the female failed to identify him.
A man who was said to be of an unsound mind was shot and killed by unknown assailants in his community in Trelawny on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Jason Graham who hailed from the Race Course community in the parish capital, Falmouth.
Reports are that at about 9.30 pm, residents heard gunshots and summoned the police to a section of Race Course.
On their arrival, the police saw Graham suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The killing on Friday is being investigated by detectives from the Falmouth Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
