Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will be looking to top Group B of the CONCACAF Gold Cup when they take on El Salvador in the final game of the group. However, a draw will be enough to see them through to the quarter-final knockout stage.
Jamaica is on 4 points, while El Salvador is on 2 points, along with Costa Rica. Canada is in the cellar with 1 point, but still in with a chance of qualifying.
In the previous games, Jamaica drew 2-2 with Costa Rica, before defeating Canada 1-0 on a Rudolph Austin stoppage time goal.
The game will take place at the BMO field in Toronto, Canada, starting at 5 pm Jamaica time. Hosts Canada will take on Costa rica in the other Group B match at 7:30 pm Jamaica time.
It would appear that Jamaica would be fielding the same starting 11. “I don’t know (if I will make changes to team), we have one good player with a little problem, but tomorrow (today) I will tell you which team. We have a good team with good players maybe at the same level, so I will see,” said the German coach.
Jamaica could therefore see: Dwayne Miller starting in goal, Wes Morgan along with Jermaine Taylor in the central defensive positions, Kemar Lawrence (left) and Adrian Mariappa playing the wing-back positions. In midfield, Captain Rodolph Austin and Je-Vaughn Watson, while they would be flanked by McAnuff on the left and Garath McCleary. The offense would again be led by Simon Dawkins and Giles Barnes .
