Invaders Sports Club from Bunkers Hill, are the 2016 Trelawny President’s Cup Final, played in Bounty Hall.

BOUNTY HALL, Trelawny — Invaders SC held off Rio Bueno FC 2-1 on Sunday to win the Trelawny Football Association’s season opening President’s Cup Knock Out played at Bounty Hall.

After 72 minutes without a goal and the game appearing to be headed to extra time and maybe penalty kicks, three goals were produced.

Omar Haughton shot Invaders SC into the lead in the 73rd minute, while Shanoy Anderson doubled the lead nine minutes later when he scored in the 82nd minute.

Garfield Stewart threw Rio Bueno FC a lifeline when he pulled one back in the 87th minute, but they failed to draw level.

 Wednesday Rio Bueno FC had beaten Bunkers Hill So Fresh 3-1 in the semi-finals with Stewart scoring a double, while Invaders FC were awarded their game against Spicy Hill after the Georgia Sports Grounds were not prepared for the game.
