So far, there has been no news forthcoming as to the reason for the dispute, but a man has been taken into custody by the police for hacking his grandfather to death in Wait-a-Bit.
A young farmer was taken into custody by the Trelawny police after his grandfather died in hospital, allegedly from wounds inflicted by him (the grandson).
The deceased man has been identified as 76-year-old Beresford Smith who lived in Woodgrove, Wait-a-Bit in the Cockpit Country hills of south Trelawny.
Reports are that Smith died from multiple wounds inflicted during a dispute on Friday. He was rushed to the hospital where he died on Saturday afternoon.
Wit-a-Bit is a quiet farming community known more for yams than violence.
