This photo was taken on April 22, 2007, on the site of what is now part of the Falmouth Pier Complex. Back then, this was known as Top Seaside or simply ‘Seaside.”

This was one of three fishing beaches in Falmouth where we could get fresh fish to buy, straight from the fishermen as they came to shore; the other two being at Falmouth All-Age School (Barracks School) and Half Moon Bay.

It was a nice hangout spot as then there was Reagan’s cook shop. The girl eating in the picture, bought her food from Reagan.

Sometimes we had to wait on the fishermen to come in from sea. This particular Sunday, I was doing just that and snapped this shot, not knowing that very soon, the whole place was going to change forever with the construction of the Falmouth Cruise Shipping Port.
