Six persons were arrested in Falmouth on Saturday after a police raid in Race Course, Falmouth.
Among the six arrested were 3 females (all from St. James addresses) and 3 males. One of the males was from Falmouth and the other 2 were from St. James.
Reports are that the police went to the premises in search of wanted men from St. James. It is believed that wanted men have migrated from St. James parish into other parishes to escape the current state of emergency.
During the operation, the police recovered an illegal firearm in the house they occupied and the 6 were taken to the Falmouth police station.
The premises is owned by a foreign-based relative of the Falmouth man who was taken into custody.
File photo shown is not actual gun recovered by police.
