Falmouth Police have seized an illegal firearm and made an arrest in Zion, Martha Brae. One man was charged with illegal possession of firearm, but his identity is withheld, pending investigation.
Zion is across the road from Martha Brae (to the west) and is the home of two of the parish’s high schools: William Knibb Memorial High and Holland High.
TRELAWNY, Jamaica – Police in Falmouth have arrested a man after he was found with an illegal firearm and ammunition in Zion, Martha Brae, Trelawny on Wednesday.
Reports are that about 5:30 pm, a police team on mobile patrol stopped and searched three men in the area. During the search, one of the men was found with a black Taurus .38 special Revolver containing five 9mm rounds of ammunition.
