After Falmouth, Jamaica’s Independence Day activities, Falmouth’s Mayor Garth Wilkinson headed off to Hartford, Connecticut. Today, Mayor Wilkinson had the honor of being chosen as the Grand Marshal for the annual West Indian Independence Parade Celebrations in Hartford.
This is the 53rd year of the West Indian Independence Celebrations in Hartford.
A Grand Marshal is a a person honored as the ceremonial marshal of a parade.
The Mayor will next host a town hall meeting on Sunday, hosted by the Friends of Falmouth in association with the Hartford Community. The meeting is entitled: “The Official Launch of “Falmouth 250.”” There the Mayor will promote investment opportunities and give general information about our town of Falmouth and the rest of Trelawny, Jamaica.
