Eldest child of world’s oldest human dies at age 97

The oldest person on earth with a living mother has died. Harold Fairweather passed waway at home today after a short illness. On Saturday April 15, Harold Fairweather reached the age of 97.

On the same day (Saturday) his mother Violet Mosse Brown became the oldest living human in the world after the passing of the previous oldest, Italian Emma Morano, who was born on November 29, 1899. Mosse Brown, affectionately called Aunt V, was born on March 10, 1900.

Fairweather shared the same residence with his mother, the same home in which she was born 117 years ago.
