In a replay of last year’s Trelawny Major League Final, Cooper’s Pen will battle Clark’s Town FC in the final of the Trelawny Football Association Victor Wright knockout competition.
Cooper’s Pen made it to the final by spanking Spicy Hill by 3 goals to nil in the semi-final played at Cooper’s Pen on Saturday.
Cooper’s Pen’s leading striker Shaunavon McKenzie opened the scoring in the 27th minute. Gary Anderson added to the tally in the 51st and Calvin Thomas sealed the victory in the 87th minute.
Clark’s Town had earlier sealed their spot with similar 3-0 scoreline invading the community of Bounty Hall to beat Harmony FC.
In last year’s Trelawny Major League Final, Clark’s Town defeated Cooper’s Pen 3-1 to advance to the Western Confederation Super League which began on Sunday.
