Fifty-six-year-old Monique Cook-Reid, the wife of Falmouth entertainer Jamari Reid, was been granted bail on Wednesday in the Falmouth Resident Magistrate’s Court. This was after she made her first appearance in the case. Bail was set at $750,000.
Cooke-Reid was charged on Friday last with soliciting to commit murder her husband. Jamari was murdered at home on the night of August 24. He was killed execution style at his Falmouth Gardens home. All 3 persons in the house at the time were tied up, but Jamari was the only one shot, prompting suspicions that it was a hit.
The defendant is from Ontario in Canada.
Monique Cooke-Reid will return to the Falmouth Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
