Four Jamaicans made it to the women’s 400 metres semi-finals and all 4 produced great performances. All 4 of them made it to the final!

Christine Day, Stephenie Ann McPherson, Shericka Williams and Novlene Williams-Mills will be competing for the green, gold and black in the 400 metres final tomorrow. All three athletes placed second in their semi-finals. Here are the results:

Semi-final One

Shaunae Miller (Bahamas) – 50.12

Semi-final 2

Christine Ohuruogu (UK) – 50.16 (SB)
Stephenie Ann McPherson – 50.32 (SB)

Semi-Final 3

Alison Felix (USA) 49.89
Shericka Jackson – 50.47
Novlene Williams-Mills  – 50.47

Now Jamaica has to be the clear favourite to dethrone the USA in the 4×400 metres relay.
